Four weeks. That’s it. Let’s go.

Hey everyone,

We’re down to the final four fast and furious weeks of the semester – and yeah, it’s probably feeling like a lot right now.

Are you juggling classes, deadlines, and the chaos of spring? Or are you locked in and cruising? Either way – pause for a second. Take a breath. Reset. Check your game plan.

The last day of instruction is coming up fast, and commencement is right around the corner. These are your final laps of the 2025-2026 academic year. This is where it counts. Lock in. Finish strong. You’ve got this.

Thinking about summer classes? Good move.

  • You may qualify for additional Pell Grant funding

  • The UAF Summer Scholarship is open now (deadline: May 1)

  • Summer classes can help you stay on track – or get ahead – with programs like Alaska Performance Scholarship or UA Scholars

Summer and fall registration are opening up:

  • Priority registration for summer and fall opened March 23, 2026

  • General registration opened yesterday, March 30, 2026

  • There are some solid online summer options – flexible, convenient, and a great way to make progress.

Meet with your advisor, build your plan, and – say it with me – get it done.

Need help? Get coaching.

You don’t have to figure everything out solo.

Academic Coaches can help with:

  • Time management

  • Study strategies

  • Staying organized

  • Test prep

  • Balancing school and life

  • And honestly… just getting unstuck

If things feel messy and uncertain, this is one of the smartest moves you can make.

Lastly, wherever you are, get outside! We’re hitting nearly 14 hours of daylight (finally).

You’re closer than you think. This year is almost in the books – and you’ve made it this far for a reason.

Stay consistent. Take care of yourself. Finish strong.

If there’s anything we can do to better support you these last few weeks, reach out obguthrie@alaska.edu.
