Travel program update: travel agency transition

An upcoming change is coming to the university’s travel management company. As part of the State of Alaska Request for Proposal process, a new travel agency vendor, Travel Solutions International, also known as TSI, has been selected and UA will be transitioning to this vendor in the near future. The university will continue using Concur as the travel and expense management system.

This change is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to ensure cost-effective, compliant and high-quality travel services are accessible. TSI will provide booking services for airfare, lodging and other travel-related needs, along with enhanced technology and support.

Current travel processes will remain unchanged with Corporate Travel Management, also known as CTM, at this time. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks, including:

  • Implementation timelines
  • Training opportunities and resources
  • Updates to booking procedures (where applicable)
  • Key contacts for travel support
