Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Troth Yeddha' Collective

The ÐßÐßÊÓÆµ has been awarded $1,000,000 from the Mellon Foundation to establish the Troth Yeddha' Collective for transdisciplinary research. The mission of the Troth Collective at the ÐßÐßÊÓÆµ is to form a collective focused on growing a community of scholars committed to transdisciplinary research that centers Indigenous knowledge at the core of the arts and humanities.

Signers' Hall east entrance closed during May

IAB researchers learn self-rescue on ice

Last month, researchers, students, and Professor Matt Gilbert learned how to fall through the ice on the Chena River - and how to self-rescue in the event it happens in the field. Professor Gilbert's lab group, the Arctic Physiology Lab, is based in the Institute of Arctic Biology at UAF.

Measuring water velocity under ice in Galena

Currently, no data is available on the speed of the river flow beneath the ice. ACEP's hydrokinetic team went to Galena, a community of around 500 on the north bank of the Yukon River, to measure how fast water runs under ice.

Stage passes required for this year's commencement
